Recognizing the inherent dignity of every person and the indispensable nature of civil liberties for the flourishing of society, the Principality of Seridovia hereby formally guarantees the following fundamental rights to all persons within its jurisdiction.
Art. 1 — Every person is equal before the law. Discrimination based on nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, age, or political opinion is prohibited in all official Seridovian contexts.
Art. 2 — Freedom of expression is guaranteed. Every citizen may freely express opinions on matters of public interest without fear of reprisal, subject only to restrictions necessary to protect the rights of others and the integrity of the state.
Art. 3 — Freedom of association is guaranteed. Citizens may freely form, join, and participate in organisations, communities, and movements, provided such groups do not pursue the destruction of Seridovian institutions.
Art. 4 — The right to privacy is recognised. Personal data held by the government may only be used for the purposes for which it was collected, in accordance with the Data Protection and Privacy Act.
Art. 5 — Every citizen has the right to petition the government, to submit formal complaints, and to receive a response within a reasonable time.
Art. 6 — No citizen shall be subjected to arbitrary removal of citizenship, public humiliation, or punitive action without due process as defined by this and other applicable laws.
Art. 7 — These rights may not be suspended except in declared states of emergency, as determined by the Prince of Seridovia, and only to the minimum extent required.
