Legislative Assembly Enacts Five New Laws
June 20, 2025
The government of the Principality of Seridovia has formally enacted five new laws, expanding the nation's legislative framework in key areas of public administration, citizen rights, and governance.
The new legislation was signed into effect following a formal review process conducted by the Ministry of Justice, in consultation with the relevant ministries responsible for each area of law.
The five laws enacted are: the Data Protection Act, which establishes standards for the handling of citizen data by government institutions; the Official Identification Documents Act, which governs the issuance and validity of Seridovian passports, identity cards, and diplomatic credentials; the Provincial Administration Act, which defines the structure and responsibilities of provincial authorities; the Public Conduct and Order Act, which sets out expectations for civic behaviour in official Seridovian contexts; and an amendment to the Official Language Act, clarifying provisions for bilingual documentation.
The Minister of Justice stated: "These laws reflect the maturation of our legal system. A nation governs not only through its founding documents but through the continuous refinement of its laws to meet the needs of its citizens."
All five laws are now publicly available in full through the Legislative Registry on the official government portal, where citizens may read the complete text of each piece of legislation.
The Ministry of Justice confirmed that further legislation is currently in preparation, covering areas including economic regulation and diplomatic protocol.
